Revenue Cycle Services Analyst III is responsible for the optimization of applications and technology within all areas of Revenue Cycle. Regularly reviews applications, current work flows and processes looking for areas of improvement, efficiencies and cost savings. Ensures applications are used as intended and at full level of functionality. Researches available technology ensuring the correct technology is in production for Revenue Cycle. Makes recommendations for new functionality. Leads the installation, configuration, conversion, implementation for revenue cycle applications and technology. Works with Revenue Cycle Management to determine functional specifications and operational work flows for the applications used within revenue cycle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Leads assigned project and/or application/technology implementations to meet short and long term goals and objectives.
Determines and manages all phases of project and/or application/technology implementations.
Secures internal resources as needed for project implementation.
Manages issues and opens tickets as needed; manages the work steps and resources for issue resolution.
Works closely with Revenue Cycle Management and Revenue Cycle Information insuring that applications/technologies/workflows function as intended and as needed.
Researches technology that is available in the marketplace.
Recommends new technology or new applications for operational efficiencies, cost savings and/or expense reductions.
Reviews current applications and their functionality, including the reviews of new releases and new programming to determine possible changes needed within Revenue Cycle Operations.
Prepares and submits project presentations to Revenue Cycle Leadership, including the Vice President -Revenue Cycle.
Serves as liaison between Revenue Cycle Operations, Revenue Cycle Improvement, Information Services and business partners (outside vendors).
Manages work load and projects to meet committed timeframes, quality guidelines and operations expectations.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Understanding of revenue cycle operations to include, but not limited to, scheduling/registration, billing, collections, payment/adjustment posting, credit balance/refunds, statements, bad debt write offs, collections processes and reporting.
Understanding of operational use of applications supported.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and Tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with employees at all levels within the organization.
Strong time management and organization skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and implementations at the same time.
Present updates and current status of projects/implementation/initiative timely to management.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and initiatives.
Ability to cope with stress and pressure.
