The Identity & Access Management Platforms team at MSU supports the systems that provide centralized identity, authentication, and access management services to information systems across campus. The team is in the early stages of a major modernization effort in these spaces. Under the supervision of the IAM Platforms Manager, the IAM Developer will
Maintain and update MSU developed software and systems developed primarily in Java but also in Python, Bash, and Perl
Develop integrations between IAM systems (e.g., SailPoint IdentityIQ) and other information systems in use at the university, both internally developed and off-the-shelf
Participate in ongoing projects to modernize IAM systems and processes
Maintain currency of skills through professional development
Collaborate closely with teammates and partners across IT and the campus community at large.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which generally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program
Three to five years of related and progressively more responsible work experience in software development
Experience working in diverse software development and runtime environments Experience working with relational database systems
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Identity Governance tools e.g., SailPoint IdentityIQ
Experience with delegated/federated authentication systems e.g., Okta, Shibboleth, and protocols e.g., SAML, OIDC
Experience developing and maintaining real-time integrations between complex systems using e.g., REST APIs
