Department Information
The Office of School Partnerships works across IU campuses and units to ensure that strategies that support effective partnerships are integrated in university policy and practices, and to foster on-ramps connecting academic units, campuses, and K-12 initiatives. The office works collaboratively with the Schools of Education, university partners, and all campuses and academic units. This objective of the office is to strengthen the University's ability to support high quality education across the state through central leadership that enables educators, K-12 school districts, the Department of Education, and state and regional agencies to successfully maximize, navigate and access University resources and support.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President/Director Office of School Partnerships
Department Specific Responsibilities
Manages large, complex projects, from start to finish, ensuring on time completion within budget for grant-related and other strategic activities conducted by the Office of School Partnerships.
Identifies and resolves increasingly complex operational problems .
Works as a member of the Office's leadership team, collaboratively identifies and manifests actions, policies, and practices that meet and project and stakeholders' objectives (university-wide as well as external).
Manages large projects of the most complex nature, from start to finish, ensuring on time completion within budget.
Analyzes, tracks, forecasts, and reports on project metrics and shortfalls.
Communicates ongoing changes in tasks, goals, or performance; supervises and trains project staff as needed.
Develops and maintains project schedules, goals, and communication.
Matrix manages teams to develop, evaluate, and revise project processes.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure that project objectives are achieved within established time frames.
Participates in client meetings, contract finalization, and development of requirements and specifications.
Provides guidance and support to less experienced peers.
General Responsibilities
Implements the organization's strategic vision and direction by developing, initiating, and/or supporting new programs and services, creating annual work plans, and operating within a board-approved balanced budget.
Ensures the maintenance of effective office management, financial management, record-keeping, and equipment and software.
Plans, directs and implements programs or events, including developing branding strategy and targeting audiences for these events.
Oversees or represents the program in communications to program participants, supporting institutions, collaborators in other units, community partners, vendors and the public.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues and programs.
Provides mechanisms, training, and advice on a variety of issues such as budget management software and advanced strategies for timely spending of grant funds.
Oversees research and academic activities budgets for programs. Identifies funding requirements and funding sources to ensure adequate resources to sustain program goals. Leads grant writing.
Evaluates the performance of lower-level staff, recommends development and performance plans, promotions and disciplinary action and is accountable for consistent administration of university policies.
Keep abreast of best practices to create and implement policies and procedures that deliver a quality program experience.

EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Preferred
Master's degree in relevant field.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. Advertised Salary
The salary range is $67,500 - $75,000.
