Support Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems that ensure provision of services and care for prevention and health promotion. Apply knowledge and skillset to support EHR projects that will enhance functionality for care management, practice management, claiming and payment, pharmacy, and analytics.
Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, applies business analyst knowledge, skills, and techniques in supporting leadership, project leads, and driving the development and application of project management methodology. Serve as the liaison between the business and technology teams. Analyzes workflows and processes, defines customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems. Utilize best practice standards to improve quality, customer experiences, and end-user experiences. Serves as subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance and assessments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as liaison between the business and technology and understands the business units’ systems, capabilities, and respective technologies.
Works with business units to define application requirements, prioritize and document existing application enhancements, changes, or upgrades.
Define functional and technical system requirements.
Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
Analyze business needs and map to application capabilities.
Deliver solution alternatives and recommendations for business technology needs.
Conduct quality assessments, operational procedures, and ensures that change management procedures are met.
Develop change management plans for transition to new or upgraded systems.
Consult with vendors or technical staff to ensure that functionality of automated system is consistent with adherence to laws, regulations, and best practice standards by users.
Document business processes for users of new or upgraded system.
Gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
Provide user support and training on any new applications or new functionality.
Develop test plans and scripts and test new or upgraded technology.
Analyze workflows and processes and serve as Subject Matter Expert.
Clearly define changes and align them with business goals.
Determine impacts and users/systems/interfaces affected.
Coordinates activities and data collection with internal and external customers.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related specialty from an accredited college or university AND Ten years of job specific experience that includes system analysis, design and development, and relationship management.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
