Meridian Cooperative is seeking an iOS Developer I to join our family company, Futura Systems. Role & Responsibilities:
This is an entry-level position that will allow you to grow your career within iOS development. This person will be participating in all stages of the development life cycle from requirements gathering to application development. May analyze databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating application development as part of a team. Help modify applications to correct errors, adapt to new technologies, or improve performance; analyze code and/or data to identify causes of errors, as needed. Contributes to technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.
Represent the company at conferences and networking events.
Adheres to all Meridian Cooperative corporate policies and procedures.
Travel as required.
Any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of professional experience developing native iOS apps using Objective-C.
Experience using Objective-C, XCode, Cocoa Touch, and UIKit preferably as part of a team of iOS Developers.
Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming best practices, including MVC.
Experience interfacing iOS applications with web services.
Familiarity with Agile development processes and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CoreData and GIS.
Experience in Web Service consumption and testing using REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, etc.
Design and UX sensibilities, an understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
