The Department of Commerce is searching for a solution driven Senior Real Estate Consultant. We are seeking someone that is a subject matter expert on available real estate listings. The candidate must also be able to maintain collaborative efforts as well as managing and overseeing site and building inventory.

Job Functions:
Manage and oversee the Locate SC database program and ensure it is used as a reliable source of available properties across the state. Ensure that within assigned territory that the database consists of the most up-to-date information by connecting with the SC counties and real estate contacts on available inventory and frequently visit available sites and buildings. Serve as the primary point of contact to the database platform provider and oversee changes in the development of the site.
Consult the with division management and staff by recommending building and site locations that meet prospect criteria. Work with the division management on the strategy alignment between building and sites inventory with the current and future needs of economic development.
Manage the site evaluation program known as Palmetto Sites. Ensure that the program continually meets the needs of the Agency, local communities, site location consultants and prospective businesses. Within assigned territory, coordinate with vendor and applicants to ensure that properties efficiently move through the process and attend site visits as a representative of the Agency.
Within assigned territory, conduct outreach to promote site and building program. Facilitate training on the aspects of the program and LocateSC database.
Develop reports and work with Program Director to capture needed information to support an on-going robust program and strategic direction of the division. Assist Program Director with analyzing grant programs and opportunities.
A bachelor's degree in a related subject area and experience in economic development, real estate or marketing.
