Baysinger Partners Architecture is seeking a talented Project Manager / Project Architect to join our team.
Located in Portland, Oregon, Baysinger is a small firm with large project experience throughout the western states. We specialize in retail, mixed-use, and commercial projects and include multi-family housing and industrial projects in our portfolio. Having recently transitioned leadership from the founding partners to the next generation of ownership, Baysinger offers opportunities for growth and potential advancement. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded professional with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the A/E/C industry who understands the all-inclusive role of a Project Manager within a medium-small firm. Basinger’s PMs are responsible for profitable project delivery from start-up through design and documentation to occupancy; managing consultants and mentoring staff throughout the process; and representing the firm to clients, stakeholders, and new business opportunities.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
Licensed Architect or intent to become licensed in the next few years.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture.
Minimum of 10 years of professional practice with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial role.
Expertise in all phases of design and construction with the ability to personally produce as well as direct others in client proposals, construction documents, and other contract documents and to perform construction administration and punchlists.
Experience with projects ranging in size and complexity that include commercial, retail, and mixed-use.
Ability to manage several projects efficiently and successfully at the same time, including collaboration with other Project Managers on resource and staff allocation.
An applicable understanding of building codes, zoning, and planning regulations.
Capacity to effectively define and manage expectations and problem solve with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
Respect for our firm’s professional and social culture and diversification.
Additional advantageous qualities:
Expertise in commercial, retail, mixed-use, and multi-family projects.
Experience with industrial and institutional projects.
Competency in Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite programs and Microsoft Office including Teams.
LEED and other professional, sustainability, and technical certifications.
Experience in successful work acquisition and business development.
Active participation in continuing education and keeping up to date on industry trends.
Willingness to enrich and participate in the firm’s activities and adventures.
