The Department of Psychological Science in the School of Social Ecology at UC Irvine seeks a motivated, flexible and adaptable self-starter to provide analytical support and customer service to the Wellness Initiative and the Department of Psychological Science more broadly. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Post-Baccalaureate Program and Masters in Legal and Forensic Psychology both within the Department of Psychological Science. As Analyst of the Department of Psychological Science, responsibilities include: financial administration to include reimbursements, purchases, stipends; contract and grant proposal preparation and submission ; primary administrator for the graduate program ; database management; academic personnel administration of hires; employment and salary administration; departmental website maintenance; event planning and orchestration; customer service pertaining to daily administrative operations for faculty, staff, students and visitors in the Department of Psychological Science.

Required:
3-5 years of applicable experience working for an organization
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals including students, faculty, administrators, and the general public. Must be able to communicate and interact with others positively and constructively at work. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills. Skill in organizing work, defining tasks, prioritizing assignments, and following through on all projects independently. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and discretion in completing all responsibilities and duties associated with the position, while demonstrating flexibility and patience. Experience analyzing and organizing complex information and the proven ability to produce clear, comprehensive and complete reports based on that analysis. Skills in service orientation, organization, active listening, and critical thinking. Awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences. Demonstrated work experience and knowledge of particular needs and concerns of the School s multi-ethnic graduate student population. Demonstrated analytical skills to identify problems, collect and analyze data, define objectives, and propose or implement recommend solutions. Excellent English writing and communication skills and proven ability to compose professional reports, correspondence, policies and practices, and training materials.

Detailed knowledge of UCI policies and procedures. Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices Working knowledge and experience with KFS (Kuali Financial System) for purchasing and reimbursements. Working knowledge of ESOC (Electronic Schedule of Classes)
