What We Are Looking For
The Sr. Web Developer & Analyst - HSB Technology Center helps support the mission of Baylor University by serving as the liaison for the Hankamer School of Business (HSB) in support of the HSB's web presence and web resources. Additionally, this position provides key technology support for the Faculty Success by Watermark (formerly Digital Measures) system and the HSB Graduate Programs use of Salesforce. You will primarily serve the faculty, staff and students in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.
The job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
A Bachelors degree, five years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Bachelors degree and seven years of relevant experience are preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Should have experience with ASP.NET using VB.NET, C#
Should have experience with PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Should have experience with SQL Server and entity relationship data modeling for websites
Should have experience using Drupal framework
Should have an understanding of eCommerce
Should have experience with IIS configuration and administration
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and security of data and systems
Must be able to work independently
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Should be analytical and a good problem solver
Should be able to multi-task and prioritize
May provide supervision of student workers
What You Will Do
This position primarily serves as the liaison for the Hankamer School of Business (HSB) in support of the HSB's web presence and web resources. You will serve on various technical working groups and committees to understand workflows, processes, procedures, and policies to best support HSB technical needs for the HSB's various websites and web resources.
This position provides key technology support and administration for the Faculty Success by Watermark (formerly Digital Measures) system, which serves as the data repository for SACS and AACSB accreditation in the HSB. This includes faculty support and correcting data using XML/webservices for over 180 faculty members in the HSB.
This position also provides key support and administration for the HSB's Graduate Programs use of Salesforce, which contributes heavily to our revenue generating programs. Salesforce is used to manage and track all interactions with prospective students and alumni.
Additionally, the successful candidate will support faculty, staff and students in the HSB by:
Partnering with university and HSB constituents in the technical support and administration of the HSB's website presence. This includes, but is not limited to, main website resources and supplemental web resources, such as WordPress sites and web forms.
Providing consultation, project management, development, support and training for various .net web applications. These applications provide a range of support and resources for the HSB by tracking intellectual contributions and presentations through the creation of tables, tracking usage in the HSB's labs to inform decisions, providing the HSB Technology Center team a means of tracking issues, providing the HSB facilities team with a work order tool to track various issues or requests, a survey application used for student leadership development and other various faculty specific applications. The candidate may assist in finding alternative means for providing these resource deliverables.
Consulting and interfacing with various HSB and university constituents in support of the HSB accreditation process
Creating custom macros to convert data from Slate to Salesforce, developing and supporting tools to transfer data from website forms to Pardot (Salesforce app), and creating custom external communication methods as a means to provide information to students and alumni
Assisting with and providing expertise for key server administration concepts and procedures for HSB servers
Providing a professional customer-focused attitude in order to build, maintain and foster great working relationships with faculty, staff and students
Communicating and documenting issues and resolutions internally (within the department) and externally (with faculty/staff/students-our customers)
Performing other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
