Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Office of the Vice Provost of Research at Baylor University is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Pre-Award Proposal Development Manager to lead a team of pre-award University Research Administrators in support of the University's Tier 1 level research. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities:

A Bachelor's degree, six years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree is preferred. This is position is eligible for remote work but may have occasional required travel to campus for meetings. Experience will not be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000.
What You Will Do
Supervise a team of pre-award proposal development staff deployed to assigned portfolio, ensuring provision of excellent customer service to faculty, OVPR staff, Baylor stakeholders, and sponsors in the ongoing administration of sponsored research, in accordance with Baylor's management policies.
Manage team workload according to defined parameters to balance pre-award proposal development duties across the team, and to meet the defined OVPR key performance indicators.
Provide guidance and career development to direct reports.
Participate in ongoing OVPR continuous improvement efforts with respect to policies, procedures, tools/systems, and training.
Serve as an expert resource to the Baylor research community by maintaining working knowledge of industry best practices; interpret regulations and guidelines -for proposal preparation and development as well as understanding and managing multiple proposals with complex and broad guidelines for proposal development.
Maintain 0.25 FTE workload of assigned portfolio.
Support all activities of Pre-Award Proposal Development in accordance with federal and state regulations and guidelines, including federal OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), sponsor specific, and institutional policies.
Maintain auditable records for sponsored accounts, including proposal and award documents, reports, and sponsor and internal correspondences.
