The O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University was established in 2007 through the generous philanthropy of Linda and Timothy O'Neill to respond to the need for innovative solutions to the most pressing national and international health concerns. Housed at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., the O'Neill Institute reflects the importance of public and private law in health policy analysis. The O'Neill Institute draws upon the University's considerable intellectual resources, including the School of Nursing & Health Studies, School of Medicine, the McCourt School of Public Policy, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics.
Job Overview
The Project Manager for the Health and Human Rights Initiative within the O'Neill Institute develops and executes operational, business development, and project-specific strategies. As well, they promote efficiency and productivity on the team by providing leadership and support in process development and improvement, supporting project management of specific projects, and improving the coordination of workstreams by developing a cohesive rhythm of business across projects.
Work Interactions
The Project Manager supports the Program Directors of the Health and Human Rights Initiative.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
6 to 8 years of project or program management, business consulting, or operations experience [note: consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience]
Strong organizational and communications skills
Ability to work independently with modest supervision, including the capacity to problem solve and make independent decisions in the Initiative's best interest if consultation with team members is not possible
Professionalism and flexibility amid competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Preferred qualifications
An interest in Law, Policy or Global Health
Passionate about improving livelihoods around the world
Bilingual competency in English and Spanish due to regional focuses
Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally, if necessary
