The basics of this position:
This is a multi-faceted position responsible for three primary business functions: 1) Principal technology architect for Workforce Solutions with responsibility for system design, optimization, operation and maintenance 2) Data integrity and performance reporting including the management and coordination of data collection for the College’s non-credit workforce training programs; and 3) leads special projects as assigned by the AVC for Workforce Solutions.
What you'll do:
• Leads systems analysis and design of information technology for Workforce Solutions. • Establishes information technology standards appropriate for departmental projects and goals in light of current industry practices and trends. • Analyzes trends and developments of IT hardware, software and networking technologies and recommends and implements appropriate strategies to manage same. • Designs, specifies, installs, and configures enhancements and improvements to assigned departmental computing and network resources. In particular, has lead responsibility for ensuring the stable operations the Continuing Education department’s Elevate software platform and integration with other enterprise systems. • Coordinates and provides expert technical consultation for the selection, evaluation, purchase, and installation of computing hardware, software, and supplies. • Develops and implements processes for external and internal reporting requirements, meeting a variety of reporting demands and deadlines. • Develops, manages, and completes the documentation of program performance reporting in functional, accessible formats for use in program reporting and evaluation processes. • Prepares detailed labor market information reports for program review, program development, funding proposals, strategic planning, economic development initiatives, student advising, and program marketing. • Facilitates compliance with all applicable federal regulations, STLCC policy and procedures and project guidance, including the protection of personally identifiable information in student records. • Produces and analyzes labor market information utilizing online labor market analysis tools and other available resources as appropriate for a variety of purposes. Reports and data are used internally as well as by external partners. • Participates in labor market and data-related professional development activities; stays current with trends in data collection and reporting, and labor market information. • Primary staff responsibility for the survey and analysis portion of the annual State of the St. Louis Workforce report, including vendor procurement, survey instrument development, data analysis and graphic presentation. Works closely with AVC to plan, draft and deliver report and the associated release event. • Primary staff responsibility for STLCC operational support of STL.works website in partnership with Regional Business Council. • Produces impactful presentations, video, and photos for AVC, Chancellor’s office, and other STLCC departments as directed. • Other duties as assigned
