Job Summary ***Hybrid position. Permanent residence must be in MA, NH, RI, ME or CT***
This Application Development Specialist III will be responsible for:
Building, supporting, and maintaining Nuance applications, specifically PowerScribe voice recognition, Primordial, and Realtime. Ability to train new users, create accounts, and provide backend support.
Delivering appropriate communication or training for end users and/or teammates.
Demonstrating in depth knowledge necessary to support users over the phone, at the desk side, and via remote login desktop support for the main campus and all satellite locations to ensure operational stability.
Supporting department specific and hospital wide clinical systems which may require using some of these systems to ensure ongoing familiarity from a user perspective.
Acting as a resource to less experienced members on the RIS (Cerner Radnet, Epic Radiant), PACS (Fuji Synapse), and hardware teams, and assisting teammates by utilizing tools that streamline the support process.
Analyzing system applications and defining information systems requirements, including creating and maintaining support documentation for software packages.
Actively searching out areas for service improvement and offering suggestions for process and system improvements.
Supporting and assisting end users with 24x7 support, for both administrative and clinical systems.
Building, supporting, and maintaining Cerner Powerchart and Radnet applications, including radiology department build, orderables, billing codes, printing, and requisitions.
In order to qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and four to five years' related work experience including experience providing computer applications support, knowledge in both PC and MAC is preferred.
An understanding of RIS systems, Epic is preferred, PACS systems, Fuji Synapse is preferred, and Voice recognition software, Nuance Powerscribe is preferred, including an understanding of the relationship between all three systems.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring in-depth, experienced based cross functional knowledge.
Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts in computer science and information systems.
An eagerness to learn new technologies and an appreciation of a fast paced work environment with diverse assignments.
