Cushman & Wakefield delivers strategic capital works programs to support operational changes to property portfolios by assisting our clients in terms of their portfolio growth when new capital works programs arise for new facilities; when changes are required for the refurbishment or re-fit of existing premises; or in respect to managing major or minor maintenance programs for their existing facilities.

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Project Manager in Auckland.
About the Role:
The Project Manager will be a key member of the PDS team reporting to the Associate Director. You will play an integral part of the New Zealand PDS leadership team delivering projects in a commercial environment to our clients across New Zealand.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in a leadership capacity for projects across the business and will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects across all our delivery streams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Client side project management, including managing the minor and major works across a number of sectors including corporate fitout, commercial refurbishment, and capital works across single engagements, repeat clients and portfolio clients across New Zealand.
Responsible for planning, executing, monitoring and controlling projects within budget, schedule and quality constraints.
Responsible for pricing negotiation with vendors and contractors.
Responsible for the full procurement process including tendering, evaluations and contract management.
Demonstrated ability of delivering complex projects.
Demonstrated negotiation and conflict management skills.
Ensure proper distribution of and adequate control is maintained over bid documents including addendum documents.
Ensure that all bid forms are completed and properly executed.
Post tender discussions with client and/or independent estimator to help negotiate final contract.
Proactively maintain contact with our construction sites to verify productions and methodologies. Review/research historical data and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
You will have solid experience of working within the Construction industry.
5+ years' experience as a Project Manager.
2+ years' New Zealand experience.
Experience with small to medium commercial projects, ideally with a Tier 1 company.
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Quantity surveying or Construction Management OR Trade qualified with significant experience delivering refurbishment projects.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
