Job Description:
At Regions, the Software Engineer Senior Manager manages two or more large departments within the company and oversees strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, and at an appropriate level of technical maturity.
Primary Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility
Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility
Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfaces
Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Twelve (12) years of relevant experience
Three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience
Preferences
Experience in Technology role in banking or financial services industry

The Wealth Technology Head will lead an enterprise technology team and portfolio supporting Region's Wealth Management business' - Private Wealth, Institutional Services, Investment Services, and Asset Management.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience delivering initiatives and managing diverse technologies, platforms, and service methods aligned to a revenue generating line of business functions.
Ideal candidate will be client focused and a strong partner with proven ability to lead go forward strategy, architectural future/current state, technology risk management, production services across enterprise technology organizations and business product lines, risk, compliance and innovation teams.
The Wealth Technology Head will be a strong communicator and collaborator and seen as a primary and key consultant to the line of business and its aligned functional groups.
Strong experience in technology transformation such as Agile / DevSecOps practices, cloud architectures and delivery of software through Development pipeline / CICD automation.
In this position, the candidate will require the ability to lead execution teams, have a willingness to 'get close to the work', and mentor / grow associates in their charge.
Candidates who are experienced and have a deep understanding of the Wealth management / Securities domain space will be differentiated.
Candidates with experience and relationships with vendors such as SEI and Cetera may be differentiated.
Previous experience with Financial Services firms and the regulatory and compliance environment is desirable.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
