Job Description:
At Regions, the Systems Administrator oversees activities related to system administration, under limited direction.
Primary Responsibilities
Leads and assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work
Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization
Oversees the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software
Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system
Monitors and maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements
Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting
Manages compliance in Security and Regulatory standards
Some scripting (i.e. PowerShell and Bash)
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field or a technical training program with six (6) years of experience
Or, a High School Diploma or GED with ten (10) years of work experience
Skills and Competencies
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills
We are looking for an admin to support Data Catalog, Data Lineage and Data Quality Management Tools. Additional tasks to include:
- Support Operating System (Redhat) patching
- Post patching application verification
- Management Tool Service monitoring
- Application Installation/Upgrades/Hotfixes
- Application service restarts/troubleshooting/performance tuning
- Application service configuration done at the server level
- Certificate renewals
- Certain application level configurations done from UI involving server IP, application passwords, DNS requests etc.
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
