Job Description:
At Regions, the Commercial Payments Risk Analyst will assist in mitigating compliance, reputational, operational, and other applicable risks to the company and will perform ongoing monitoring of third-party payment processor programs via review of various documentation to include financial information, client customer lists, customer complaint reports, internal and customer-provided management reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
Assists in collecting, organizing, and analyzing regular transaction reporting as required from higher risk payment processor clients
Communicates shortfalls in reporting, past due deadlines, and detects and reports suspicious activity as necessary
May establish line of business partnerships with internal departments as well as key compliance contacts at Corporate Banking payment processor client locations
Collects and provides data for ongoing reporting to management and business risk committees
Participates in quality assurance reviews of regular processes carried out by the team
May collaborate with management on research to help provide and/or substantiate responses to compliance and/or audit inquiries
Clears negative news alerts and quick deposit (RDC) alerts
Processes and manages new business case requests
Follows up to address consumer compliance complaints
Processes oversight reports collected monthly, quarterly, annually for Bin sponsorship relationships on Regions' portfolio
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Fraud, Quality Assurance, or related area
Or High School Diploma and six (6) years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Fraud, Quality Assurance, or related area
Preferences
Experience with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-money Laundering (AML) rules and regulations
Experience with consumer compliance rules and regulations
Skills and Competencies
Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
Ability to work under direct guidance
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
