Conduct work flow study and analyze business practices.      Â
Document existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions.
Extract, monitor, maintain, test, and debug data warehouse applications, dashboards, and reports.
Develop test plan development.
Make recommendations for hardware/software solutions.

Create, document, schedule, and support operational activities.
Coordinate with software vendors and external service providers.
Troubleshoot software bugs and provide fixes.
Provide off hours support, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s in a technical discipline.
Five years relevant technology experience.
Prior experience in a higher education technology environment.
Good understanding of business requirements and reporting strategies.
Ability to work independently and also be a team player.
SQL and data warehouse extraction skills.
Ability to extract data from a data warehouse and use comparative analysis to confirm data quality.
Understanding of star schema and data warehouse structures.
Demonstrated aptitude to quickly and effectively adapt to technologies outside of current experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Engaged in continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures.
Ability to consult with clients and higher level technicians and analysts to resolve technical problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to interact with customers to discuss alternative technical solutions.
Ability to work with only minimal supervision.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new circumstances.
Ability to work extra hours and recognize the need to do so.
Ability to adjust scheduled time.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
Strong SQL Development (SQL would be preferred).
Data Analyst (understands Relational Databases, Tables, Indexes, Queries, etc).
Report Writing (Tableau would be preferred).
Collecting and analyzing business requirements and transferring the knowledge to development team.
Evaluating and Analyzing data for business requirements.
Designing and executing the test scripts and test scenarios.
Coordinating with other team members during testing, validating, and evaluating new applications and functions.
Assist Data Team with defining and documenting Common Business Data Definitions.
General technical knowledge, aptitude and/or desire to learn new technical skills.
Possesses sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
Communicates effectively with users.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
Executes assigned project tasks within established schedule.

Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Ability to run database procedures in an operations role.
SQL and Data Warehouse coding experience a plus.
Above average Microsoft Word/Excel skills and an understanding of XML.

Salary Range
$50,500.00 - $86,200.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
