Summary of Duties:
The administrative assistant is responsible for annual stewardship and donor-related activities of the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA). Duties include: processing incoming gifts and ensure they are recorded accurately in Advance. Execute all activities related to donor stewardship including weekly donor thank you notes, annual scholarship donor stewardship, maintaining accurate spreadsheet for all endowments. Assist with financial reconciliation as needed. Responsible for event scheduling and logistics. Track all Gift/Current Use Agreements and new account activity and ensure VCEA records are up to date in Workday and Advance. Work with Advancement and WSU Foundation colleagues to acquire information as needed. Request lists from WSUF as needed for development and communication activities.
This position must exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing these duties as well as demonstrate a high level of confidentiality. This position serves as a general resource for development to the administrative leadership, faculty and staff associated with VCEA.
Required Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.
Skilled in use of computer applications such as e-mail, word processing, spread sheet applications, and Advance.
Must have demonstrated experience working with the public or in a customer service setting.
Evidence of ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, co-workers and constituents.
Demonstrated willingness to work evenings and weekends and to travel as needed for relationship building.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years or related experience.
Ability to travel frequently between buildings on campus and off campus, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be extremely detail oriented.
Demonstrated success in fundraising or relevant sales, marketing, or public relations positions.
Range 40 $3,246 to $4,324 (A-M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
