Summary of Duties:
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, documentation, and support of a donor, financial and institutional data collection, management, analysis, and reporting; utilizing SQL Server Data Tools, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Tableau, Power BI, and other queries, reporting and data modeling tools.
This position is responsible for systems analysis, code review, design evaluation and implementations in support of business processes and fundraising objectives.
This position will develop Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes that build Data Warehouses allowing reports, analytics and applications to function at scale.
This position may be eligible for a remote/hybrid working arrangement.
Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a related field AND three (3) years of professional experience in business data analysis or related; OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and ability are acquired.
Ability to work in SQL Server environments using SQL Server Management.
Studio (SSMS) tools, especially T-SQL, query analyze to create, debug, and troubleshoot stored procedures.
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 R2 or higher) or any other relational database management system administration.
Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer service to people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and/or interruptions.
Possessing project management, organizational, and planning skills are required with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields are strongly preferred.
Experience using modern operating systems.
Experience implementing or working with Ellucian CRM Advance or other higher education database management systems
Knowledge of Business Intelligence principles.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Tableau, SQL Server and Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Server Analysis Service
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Demonstrated knowledge of process, ethics, and policies of professionalfundraising
This position is based on WSU Zone 1 and Salary Grade 6, and the Hiring Department's expected hiring range is $6,250 - $7,916.67.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
