We are seeking a mid-senior level Software Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Software Engineer plays a key role in establishing a foundation for self-service governance capabilities (e.g., Data Portal, Adaptive Governance). The ideal candidate is a Full Stack engineer with experience in front and backend development and microservices architecture deployed on Kubernetes. 

The Software Engineer will: 

• Design and implement solutions that enable Data as a Service.

• Collaborate with Product Management and business partners to iteratively build solutions that meet customers' needs.

• Adhere to internal development best practices/lifecycle (e.g., Testing, Code Reviews, CI/CD, Documentation).

• Design, build, and integrate internal and external APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

• Document and present feature designs/workflows.

Technical Experience and Qualifications: 

• 6+ years of software engineering experience

• Bachelors in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field

• Experience developing in Java frameworks like Spring or Sprint Boot

• Experience developing in frameworks and libraries using Angular and/or ReactJS

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL

• Experience designing and developing RESTful services

Nice to Have:

• Experience using Python programming language

• Experience building applications using Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with Cloud technology (e.g., Google, Azure)

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture

• Experience with microservices

A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications

Location:

This position has a hybrid work-from-home schedule with at least three days per week in the Zions Technology Center office in Midvale, UT.

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
