Position Summary
The Salesforce Configuration Analyst II is responsible for design, development, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Salesforce application functionality to aid University Advancement in meeting its goals. Analyst delivers solutions to Advancement by completing declarative development within the Salesforce platform. Examples of this include but are not limited to creating custom objects and fields, editing page layouts, creating, and editing list views, developing simple and complex formulas for custom formula fields, creating, and editing flows, and building validation rules to provide users with the most relevant experience possible.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Application Lifecycle Activities
Review business requirements and ask thoughtful questions to ensure the right solution.
Assist with resolving tickets and providing feedback about additional analysis needed or questions that must be answered prior to work.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies and provide input to the pointing process and retrospectives.
Configure, monitor, maintain, test and debug declarative development.
Follow established change management processes.
Participate in development reviews and adhere to development standards.
Conduct QA on completed work according to documented acceptance criteria.
Assist as needed with researching and evaluating new technology, products, specialized hardware and tools to optimize development and functionality of applications.
Make recommendations to management and customers.
Ensure that tasks are completed as assigned, taking corrective action to stay on schedule.
Analyze and document existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions.
Support
Support complex operational activities and recoveries.
Coordinate with software vendors and external service providers.
Troubleshoot escalated bugs and provide fixes.
Provide off hours support, as needed.
Leadership
Provide, cultivate, and foster excellent customer service.
Promote adherence to departmental standards.
Act as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years relevant technology experience.
Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Salesforce Administrator.
Four years of relevant technology experience including Salesforce declarative development.
Extensive experience with Salesforce declarative development.
Experience working in higher education, with strong preference given to candidates with experience in advancement/fundraising.
Experience in a higher education technology environment, especially with Affinaquest or Salesforce.
Understanding of best practices in Salesforce development and administration.

Advanced technical knowledge of application systems and analysis, as well as industry best practices.
Ability to research and implement new technologies in specialty or related areas.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Champion continual improvement of internal processes and procedures.
Ability to consult with clients and higher-level technicians and analysts to resolve technical problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to interact with customers to discuss and recommend alternative technical solutions.
Ability to work extra hours and recognize the need to do so.
Ability to adjust scheduled time.
Ability to adjust to change and demands on time.
Required Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science.
Four years of relevant technology experience including Salesforce declarative development.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range
$64,700.00 - $110,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
