Position Summary
The Data Analyst, Grateful Patient Program drives operations of a robust grateful giving screening program. The Data Analyst, Grateful Patient Program will partner with the Senior Director of Data Analytics and Medical Advancement leadership in the implementation and continuous improvement of screening patient records for wealth and affinity factors. The Data Analyst, Grateful Patient Program will work closely with the medical advancement team, prospect management and prospect research teams to support the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities with patients, families, and friends of the School of Medicine. The Data Analyst, Grateful Patient Program will be an individual who is both data-savvy and able to collaborate across teams.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Support the medical advancement team in their identification of potential grateful giving donors by creating analytic-driven approaches to improve grateful patient identification.
Manage and analyze data to determine the best patient family prospects for major gifts; facilitate identification and qualification process to ensure that grateful patient prospect families are being efficiently added to portfolios in collaboration with the prospect research and prospect management teams.
Understand, support, and ensure ongoing management of HIPAA-compliant systems and processes for grateful patient prospect identification, solicitation, and stewardship. Recommend and implement strategies and techniques that make data management more efficient and effective.
Create fundraising and campaign forecasting. Drive additional analytic projects for grateful patient program, including areas of opportunity.
Train staff in the correct use and interpretation of data as presented in the CRM, standard reports, and Tableau dashboards. Partner with CRM implementation team to ensure Grateful Patient data and processes are represented and appropriately configured in the new University Advancement CRM system. Thereafter, partner with University Advancement CRM Operations and Advancement Services teams regarding ongoing updates and use of University Advancement CRM system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of experience in data management.
Two or more years of experience in a non-profit or academic medical center setting.
Experience in managing and working within a grateful patient program.
Salesforce experience.
Statistical programming experience (e.g., R).
Demonstrated success in SQL and Tableau.
Understanding/experience with fundraising processes in a sophisticated and highly matrixed environment.
Advanced data management and reporting skills with demonstrated ability to use software to extract, organize and report data this complex and confidential in nature.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel and PowerPoint.
Organizational skills with good follow through.
Attention to detail and data quality control.
Ability to work independently.
Good written/oral/interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent customer service attitude and demonstrated ability to work with people with varying technical skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years of related experience.

Salary Range
$64,700.00 - $110,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
