Provide maintenance and one-on-one training for the Patient Financial Services Experian Low Pay Database. Provide monthly payer payment analysis for clinical departments using Experian low pay tools to assure accurate and full reimbursement from payers. Manage submission of low-pay appeals and work with payer representatives in regard to global low-pay issues. Provide analysis and appeals of monthly, school-wide Experian/MPV Low Pay Database variance âœsweepâ report. Provide backup coverage of FSC Wizard Database maintenance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Experian Low Pay Database Support
Responsible for providing contract fee updates as well as insurance representation of Patient Financial Services (PFS) Experian Low Pay Database.Â
Works closely with Experian contact and WUPN to assure contract information is correct and concise.
Responsible for providing one-on-one Experian Low Pay Database training to staff.
Responsible for analysis of monthly Experian low pay variance report for multiple departments and the monthly school-wide Experian/MPV low pay variance âœsweepâ report in addition to the low pay appeal process.
Work closely with plan provider representatives in regard to low-pay issues and the monitoring of low-pay appeals.
Maintain timely follow-up of appeals for assigned departments.
Working Conditions Â
Remote work with working in the office one day per month.
Understanding of Epic software structure and PC spreadsheet skills.
DBMS, PCX, Data Base Management Systems skills.
Must be an analytical thinker with previous experience in financial reporting.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal and external clients.
Group Discussion to produce ides/solve problems.
Equivalent of Bachelorâ™s degree in business, health information management, or related field and two years experience in a health care or business environment.
$22.92 - $35.49 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
