Position Summary
The Technology Analyst for University Advancement Systems reports to the Director, Third Party Systems, and is responsible for implementation and maintenance of technical solutions through tools that support and integrate with the core advancement systems to improve Advancement business processes through third party applications and tools. The incumbent supports the department-wide desktop hardware and software technology strategy and planning. This includes solution and development design and implementation, change management and training, and consultation. This position also collaborates and represents Advancement with university partners on projects, task forces, and special committees.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation â“ Supports the department-wide software technology strategy and planning. Works with Advancement departments to identify business needs that have a technology solution. Collaborates with departments on current business processes related to third party applications and tools, capture department goals, and research technical solutions to improve efficiency and quality of work.
Solution and Development Design and Implementation â“ Implements and supports technical solutions to improve Advancement business processes through third party applications and tools. Maintains web-based forms and understand the back-end processing to capture data for a variety of projects.
Change Management, Training and Consultation â“ Works with Advancement staff to adopt and successfully employ technical tools, with emphasis on complex tools that bring business process excellence. Adapts approach and training method based upon user needs/level of experience. Provides one-on-one training and deliver classroom training and materials as needed to create more efficient work processes.
Advancement Intranet Maintenance and Sustainment - Implements changes as needed, review all major changes to pages, monitor site governance. Supports new technical solutions in support of Advancement department needs.
Third Party Applications and Tools Management â“ Supports daily operations related to assigned applications and tools. As needed, works in concert with WashU IT and external vendors for information security reviews, issue reporting and resolution.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
Higher education or fundraising experience.
Program management experience.
Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and Salesforce apps.
Experience with KnowledgeLake, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Nintex Workflow Cloud, Advancement Form, or web-based forms.
Ability to think strategically and analytically and to implement effectively.
Leadership experience as team leader, trainer, influencer, and collaborator.
Demonstrated success as a team member able to work effectively within a complex organization across multiple units dealing with diverse constituents toward development objectives and building effective working relationships.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent program management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
Attention to detail, highly motivated, organized and energetic.
Ability to work independently and with exceptional accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to learn and teach.
Ability to effectively utilize computer technology, experience with SharePoint, Excel, and data integration solutions.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and five years of related experience or an Associateâ™s degree and three years or related experience.

Salary Range
$26.68 - $42.71 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
