JOB DESCRIPTION:
CFS is seeking an organized, self-motivated and energetic individual to join our Development Team. We are looking for a positive team player with demonstrated prior experience in database administration (Raiser’s Edge preferred), event support and donor relationships.
MUST HAVE:
A minimum of a BA or BS degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred)
Effective written, phone and face-to-face communication skills
Demonstrated event experience
Data gathering, analysis and reporting skills
Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented
Ability and willingness to work some nights and weekends as required
STRONGLY PREFER:
Experience working within a school environment, especially independent schools (boarding school experience a plus)
Familiarity with nonprofit organizations
Knowledge of philanthropic practices and donor-centered fundraising
Demonstrated understanding of working with and supporting young men from diverse backgrounds and low socio-economic status
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversight and daily management of the Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT databases, included but not limited to:
Updating of biographical information on any/all constituent records
All gift entry and generation of donor acknowledgment communications
Event creation, registration maintenance and attendance recording
Creation, management and updating of necessary queries and exports for data gathering, mailing lists and all development-related functions as requested by the Team and/or Head of School Office
Importing and/or Creation of new records (e.g., New students, New parents, New donors, etc.)
Regular “Data Health” checks and maintenance to ensure clean and up-to-date records
Regular data turnover duties
Support of all development events
Manage all invoice payments, check requests and Development Office orders in collaboration with the Finance Office
Collaboration with Admissions and Academics support personnel on joint initiatives and/or data flow
Monthly reconciliation with the Finance Office and general Finance Office liaison
Creation and maintenance of general Development Office calendar
Support of Assistant to Head of School and other administrative support staff as requested

Maximum enrollment at CFS is 200 boys 90% of CFS students live on campus; 10% commute each day
