The Project Manager II will support all project management and related activities within Information Services. Responsible for assisting in planning and managing all aspects of the lifecycle for assigned projects to ensure successful completion of project deliverables. Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders the status of the initiatives and to ensure all aspects are aligned with organizational strategies, plans and initiatives. Provide key information to leadership for effective decision-making.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Deploy project management tools and methods and provide training to applicable audiences as needed.
Define project scope, objectives, resource needs, schedules, and budgets needed to deliver projects. Develop, document, and implement project changes and communication plans. Lead cross functional teams and drive teams to successfully complete the objectives of the project, including scheduling and leading team meetings.
Partner with enterprise PMO to maximize effective application of project management tools and methodologies to drive results for DPC.
Lead project management training initiatives, as assigned.
Build and maintain scorecards and supporting processes, reflecting project progress and status at project, program and portfolio levels. Effectively communicate key information to stakeholders.
Analyze project outcomes and recommend ways to move forward (e.g. best practices, feedback loops, cross-project improvement opportunities).
Partner with other DPC resources to ensure complete and successful communication and change management planning on priority initiatives, programs and projects.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or similar discipline. Minimum of five (5) years of applicable business experience, preferably in project management. Experience in predictive (waterfall) and adaptive (agile) methods and ability to develop hybrids when needed preferred. PMP Certification or equivalent preferred or must be obtained.
Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and tools and resource management practices
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with individuals at all levels, both internal and external
Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) are required, project management tool expertise (Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, OPC, D365, etc.) preferred
Highly organized and solutions-focused with excellent time management skills
Strong technical and business acumen skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the agility ad flexibility to deal effectively with ambiguity and change
Experience with organizational change management preferred
