SDSU Research Foundation is seeking an Enterprise Systems Analyst to join our growing team!

WHAT OUR DEPARTMENT DOES
The Information Systems team serves the evolving information services and technology needs of SDSURF. The team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, security, and ongoing development of SDSURF enterprise systems and providing administrative desktop services for central staff personnel. Enterprise Systems team members are key contributors to advancing Foundation and campus strategic priorities. We are service oriented and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to develop and implement innovative user-focused IT solutions that are vital for informed decision making and improved services for researchers and employees.
Responsibilities YOUR ROLE IN CREATING THE UNIVERSITYS PRESENT AND FUTURE
As an enterprise systems analyst, and under the general direction of the Enterprise Systems Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities focused on the delivery of timely and accurate reports and automated, user-focused business processes: generating audit reports, troubleshooting and resolving data integrity issues, requirements gathering, determining business requirements, performing systems and data analysis, creating specifications, ensuring stability and integrity of software applications, planning, and testing software system configuration changes, developing project implementation and test plans, providing end-user application support, training users, and supporting information systems projects.
THE WORK YOU WILL DO AND MANAGE
As an Enterprise Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for a range of activities supporting a wide range of activities supporting Ellucian Banner ERP implementation (Finance, HR) and other integrated business applications. You will:
Enterprise Systems Analysis
Participate and/or facilitates stakeholder meetings and focus groups to identify capabilities needed and document associated business requirements for use by programmers.
Serve as liaison between functional and technical users in application design and programming. Work with users to test and debug programs; verify data acquisition and output.
Prepare test cases of output against expected results.
Assists with research and development of system training manuals, including system testing and documentation.
Ensure complex information is organized in an effective, easily interpreted format.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Analytics and Reporting
Work cross-functionally to provide solutions that meet the analytics and reporting needs of SDSURF and SDSU leadership, faculty and staff. Drive clarity on requirements and ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements.
Assist with the development and delivery of financial data via custom reports and automated workflows.
Develop, modify, maintain and support custom reports (e.g. MyRF/Oracle Application Express, Excel, etc.) for both quick and accurate high-profile ad-hoc requests and ongoing needs
Serves as first point of contact for system and data integrity issues. Utilizes problem-solving skills to research and document problems. Escalates complex issues to appropriate personnel.
Assist with the review, consolidation and reduction of data discrepancies.
Assists personnel with use and interpretation of MyRF reporting portal and how it relates to Banner data.
Provide training and support to other business units to facilitate writing, generating and analyzing reports.

Ability to gather requirements from a diverse sources, perform data analysis, coding, testing, integration and maintenance of Oracle and other business applications.

excellent team-working, training skills and a willingness to share knowledge with other team members along with a willingness to learn from other subject experts in order to raise the collective knowledge of our information systems family.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle from technical design, unit testing to user testing, to production migration. Emphasize adherence to standards and controls, and conduct quality assurance over programs before migration to production.
Required Experience and Education
Bachelors degree in information systems, business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5-years of progressively responsible experience performing varied administrative and analytical duties.
Preferred Qualifications and Special Skills
Experience with enterprise financial, human resources, and/or research administration systems
Strong data analysis and research skills
Experience developing reports and manipulating data with Microsoft Excel or Access, SQL queries, or any enterprise reporting tool(s).
Experience gathering, testing, and documenting requirements.
