This position will primarily provide support to the 340 B program for Skagit Regional Health, which includes contract pharmacy program, and mixed use areas. The incumbent will frequently interact with Finance, Accounts Payable, Information Technology, Skagit Valley Hospital Pharmacy, Skagit Regional Clinics, and many external vendors.
Essential Functions:
Assist with 340 B program maintenance and compliance, under the guidance of the Manager and Director of Pharmacy.
Perform routine audits of claims for internal and external pharmacies, affiliated medical providers, and clinics; IE mixed use and contract pharmacy.
Perform chart and medical record review to verify necessary patient, provider, and medication information to ensure proper claim submission, and maintain accurate documentation of records related to 340 B program.
Maintain accurate tracking of financial and productivity records related to 340 B and purchasing program, and may be authorized to approve applicable invoices.
Professionally interact with multiple 340 B program affiliates, including wholesalers, vendors, information system service providers, insurance providers, internal and contracted pharmacies, internal departments, medical providers, and regulators.
Experience/Training:
Minimum two years as a Pharmacy Technician required; at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience is required.
Prior 340 B experience in mixed use and contract pharmacy is required.
Medication insurance billing and medication claim submission experience required.
License/Certification:
Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health-career Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred.
Apexus Advanced Operations Certificate is highly preferred.
Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
College degree in business, finance, or health care related field is preferred.
