Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Development Specialist II for NJMS-Pediatrics-Early Intervention. Under direction, assists in the daily coordination of services for children referred to the Early Intervention Program with adherence to all legal requirements set forth by the agreement between the Early Intervention Program and the NJ Department of Health. Responsible for insuring confidentiality of records and monitoring gaps to assist in quality assurance for all aspects of program services. This position requires experience working in the field of Early Intervention.
Among the key duties of this position are the following;
Responsible for scheduling appointments for all service requests received within legal time lines.
Maintains statistical tracking system ensuring all services are provided within scope of program requirements as outlined by the NJ Department of Health.
Maintains liaison with staff/consultants as well as community agencies to prioritize needs and assignments for each referral.
Identifies modifications or adjustments required in meeting individualized needs of community members served.
Assists in the preparation and presentation of plans to implement the goals and objectives of the EIP.
Develops and maintains comprehensive statistical reports used to track services, identifies barriers to meeting legal timelines, and provides recommendations for quality assurance.
Responds promptly to requests made by the Department of Health and assists Program Manager in resolving programmatic concerns.
Prepares official correspondence including, but not limited to, record requests and translation reports.
Maintains essential records and enters comprehensive notes for all interactions related to coordination.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree plus eight years of experience with a minimum of one year experience working in early childhood.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirement.
