Manages the clinical and translational research operations for a large multi-site interdisciplinary research program. Oversees the implementation of all operational activities. Provides leadership on the daily operation of the research program in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and Clinical Research Manager. Manages all related projects, programs, cores, subawards, and collaborations.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manages research, cores, projects, programs, and related training and/or dissemination of information. Leads research projects and manages staff performing all project components in collaboration with and under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Provides technical and managerial expertise associated with the implementation of studies and projects.
May participate in the development of research grants and contracts.
Provides oversight for accounting functions (purchasing, receiving, inventory) and financial oversight of project budgets, associated subawards, and all expenditures. Provides support to the grants in support of the lab work.
Ensures project timelines are followed and progress reports are submitted as needed.
Organizes program-related meetings and events.
Serves as a contact person for the funding agency communications and acts a liaison among different stakeholders; acts as a representative in various meetings and events.
May supervise staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Five years of project coordination experience.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office is highly preferred.

Ability to handle multiple and diverse high-level tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field and three years of experience or a master's degree and one year of experience.

Salary Range
$57,300.00 - $97,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
