Position Summary:

The Department of Medicine is comprised of 11 Divisions by Medicine Subspecialty. The post award team in the Finance unit is responsible for management of more than $29 million in contracts, grants and research funding. This centralized unit provides expertise and financial management for contracts, grants, and university allocations for research.

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, the incumbent will assist with the implementation of research protocols for human subjects experimental/clinical research studies. Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.

$29.26 - $40.28 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $29.26 - $51.29 (Hourly Rate)

Required:

1-2 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree in a biological field, social sciences, or public health, or equivalent experience.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

1-2 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree in a biological field, social sciences, or public health, or equivalent experience Clear and professional communication skills; written and verbal. Proficiency in STATA, SAS or R or equivalent analysis software Organized and able to set task priorities. Prior research experience with demonstrated independent responsibilities and activities. Demonstrated ability to conduct research protocols with critical attention to detail.

Preferred:

Proficiency in NIVIVO, MAXQDA or equivalent software Basic consultation and communication skills. Spanish fluency (reading, writing, and conversing). Experience with kidney disease research.

Special Conditions Required:

This position requires travel in personal car throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
