Job Summary This Senior Financial Reporting Analyst - Physician's Organization will be responsible to:
Lead analytical support for Foundations assigned. Serve as point person for assigned projects. Engage with Foundation leadership to understand requests and to define the scope of work and deliverables with timely deadlines.
Conduct complex analyses and coordinate, review and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned Foundations as part of the close process. Present monthly financial statement analysis for assigned Foundations to Foundation leadership.
Review account activity for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness. Interpret trends or deviations and make recommendations for corrective action.
Review and prepare tax returns and other regulatory reports for the Foundations and PO as assigned, meeting deadlines.
Review and prepare various financial reports for the PO and Foundations' monthly closes, quarterly reviews and year-end audit. Support the annual financial statement audit and budget processes.
Review, prepare, organize and maintain supporting documentation and schedules on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis in preparation for the monthly close, quarterly reviews and year-end audit. This includes journal entries, budget performance reports, detail trial balance reports, journal entry logs, account reconciliation reports, expanded labor cost report, and various other supporting general ledger schedules.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Health Care Administration or a closely related field and 5 years of previous experience in financial reporting, accounting and analysis in a healthcare setting is required
Expert knowledge of analytics and operational effectiveness
Excellent skills in Microsoft office
Ability to lead PO and Foundation wide strategic analyses efforts
Interest in and the ability to assist in building the technical, data and business analytics skill set of team members and enterprise wide end users
Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and assist junior staff members
