Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, NJ is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity for a hands-on, highly motivated, skilled Irrigation Technician/Project Manager. The Irrigation Technician/Project Manager will oversee the installation of a new HDPE irrigation system and related irrigation projects at our prestigious country club. Qualified candidates will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical expertise in irrigation systems, and exceptional project management skills. The Irrigation Technician/Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Agronomy.
Job Responsibilities:
Irrigation System Maintenance: Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain the club's irrigation systems, including sprinklers, pumps, valves, and controllers to ensure proper functionality and efficient water usage.
Repair and Upkeep: Identify and address irrigation system malfunctions, leaks, and damages promptly. Perform necessary repairs and replacements to minimize downtime and maintain optimal water distribution.
Water Management: Monitor weather forecasts, evapotranspiration rates, and soil moisture levels to adjust irrigation schedules and conserve water resources effectively.
Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute irrigation improvement projects, which may involve system upgrades, installations, and infrastructure enhancements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, system adjustments, and project progress. Generate reports for management as needed.

Educational Requirements
Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in turf management or a related field (agriculture, viticulture, arboriculture, biology etc.) or a 2-year professional certificate program preferred.
Additional/continuing education related to project management, financial or human capital management is a plus.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of project management experience for a golf course preferred.
Great leadership and managerial skills.
Knowledge of installation and repair of HDPE pipe.
Knowledge of maintenance practices for golf course.
Knowledge of drainage methods and irrigation systems.
Ability to performing physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs.
Exceptional analytical skills to identify problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement practical solutions.
