Sr. Land Analyst is responsible for certain lease and division order analyst responsibilities, land analysis, and other technical land activities. Responsibilities include:
Runs, reviews, and makes recommendations for the monthly obligation calendars. Coordinate with Land and Regulatory as to deemed actions needed.
Sets up new contracts and lease records in BOLO (including all ROWs and surface agreements).
New lease review and tracking.
Work with JIB group and partners to make sure we have been paid accordingly and partners have been billed accordingly.
Support Land Administration Supervisor in setting up revenue decks.
Ensure timely communications with management in efforts to review and process lease extensions and bonus payments.
Assist in pulling and analyzing data for reporting and projects.
Sets up estimated NRI decks when a cost center is created.
Sets up JIB decks when a cost center is created.
Communicates with owners when they have questions.
Responsible for making ownership changes in BOLO (revenue, JIB and Land).
Make sure new wells are cross-referenced to the appropriate lease tracts in BOLO Lease Maintenance. This includes reworking lease tracts to ensure the well tracts match.
Supports Land team to make sure we stay on schedule for title and leasing.
Ability to read title opinions and assist land group in determining ownership.
Any other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Experience 10+ years, all facets of U.S. land work
Professional experience working in Division Orders and Lease Analyst capacity.
Strong understanding of Land and Accounting databases
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment.
Ability to work with and communicate with personnel across various disciplines and levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively multitask and meet deadlines and willingness to work overtime, as needed to meet those deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Familiarity with BOLO software a plus but not required.
