Job Overview
The Admissions Analyst plays an integral role in supporting and expanding graduate education at Georgetown University, representing Georgetown University on campus and off campus, locally and internationally.
They cultivate rich relationships with potential graduate applicants during prospect development and recruitment, and provide comprehensive applicant support throughout the admissions application process. In addition, they are responsible for in-depth operational admissions data responsibilities on the back end, including data entry, information and record management, and system management.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Associate Director for Graduate Admissions, the Admissions Analyst coordinates efforts with the rest of the Admissions team and the greater Graduate School team; and directly supports, trains and directs graduate academic programs to facilitate graduate recruitment, applicant management and successful enrollment of candidates.
They coordinate with other departments across campus to provide comprehensive support and setup graduate applicants - to include Office of Global Services, Student Financial Services, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Student Affairs, Student Health and the University Registrar.
Finally, as part of admissions systems management, the Admissions Analyst also coordinates with University Information Services and external vendors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
1 year of general administrative experience in an office setting - preference for knowledge of, and experience with, higher education administration
Well-versed in general administrative applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Google apps
Effective communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong technical skills to participate in the development and testing of new system functionality
Strong reporting and analysis skills
Ability to learn and adapt to new data management systems with ease
Ability to appropriately represent Georgetown University at recruitment events and to build effective relationships with prospects and applicants.
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage various projects concurrently
Ability to recognize problems and act accordingly to resolve them
