Design, provision, and govern the cloud in AWS (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), DevOps tools, and GitOps techniques. Design and develop cloud services and provisioning processes to support consistent, standardized, secure, scalable, and fully automated deployment. Provide technical leadership to team/vendor/contractor resources, validation of designs, flawless execution, and seamless transition of applications and services into the cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support application migration to, and development in, the cloud by provisioning accounts and subscriptions, services, and access as code pipelines. Consult on, plan, and execute straightforward (e.g. "lift and shift" style) cloud migrations. Analyze logs, telemetry, and system configuration, and interface with cloud provider's support services to determine root cause of issues and recommend and implement fixes. Validate cloud configuration and share knowledge with application development and operations teams.
Design and implement cloud services that comply with the organization's security and technology standards. Automate provisioning of cloud services using infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation Templates) and python techniques. Create and maintain documentation of detailed service design, usage, troubleshooting, and support.
Independently perform assignments in the design, configuration, integration, and upgrade of existing and future technologies in cloud computing and colo environments. Provision and manage the cloud environment's structure, landing zone, governance capabilities and core services such as logging and monitoring, security and access management.
Leverage knowledge of cloud provider offerings and the organization's cloud usage to identify cost and performance optimization opportunities. Partner with stakeholders to plan and execute configuration changes to capture savings and benefits.
Manage effective relationships and work in partnership with leadership, team members, vendors, and contractors to deliver robust technical solutions, ensure service level commitments and project timelines are maintained.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent (4-years) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
3-5+ years of relevant work experience required.
3+ years engineering and integration experience in cloud platforms (AWS).
1+ years' experience with technologies such as Lambda, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
Strong analytical and customer service abilities.
High reasoning aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex operating environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using source code management systems and automation tools such as Jenkins or Ansible.
Experience configuring and deploying serverless applications.
