We are looking for a Sr. Management, Project Management to join our Transformation Office. In this role, you will partner with the Corporate Finance group and have responsibility for leading a variety of corporate finance projects such as technology, automation, strategic initiatives, and compliance / regulatory implementations. Projects may span one or multiple functional areas within Finance and / or across the Enterprise. You will be responsible for managing programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or program through the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring / control, and close-out phases. You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects and manage direct reports.
Opportunity Identification:
- Accountable for leading people, setting direction, and deploying resources; typically, responsible for attracting and selecting talent
- Manages activity and direction of Sr. Project Managers and Project Managers.
- Verifies the implementation of Project Management Playbooks, metrics, and requirements
- Interfaces with all areas affected by the project which may include customers, client services, and various departments (e.g. marketing, computer services, etc.). Defines project scope and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with all matrix organizations including Finance, Business Units, MT, legal, HR, third party vendors etc. Integrating activities of multiple workgroups and disciplines to obtain results
- Has accountability for results in terms of expenses, customer satisfaction, employees, programs /projects and functions
Leadership:
- Ability to motivate, influence, and gain commitment at all levels of the organization
- Ability to craft and deliver communications to senior executives and business unit managers
- Provide guidance and support to project managers for the execution of projects to meet defined goals and objectives
- Work on complex to highly complex issues where analysis of situation requires a good understanding of organizational objectives with a key focus on enterprise mindset
- Work collaboratively with all matrix organization including the business and IT service departments
Change Management:
- Develop and maintain productive relationships through individual contacts and group meetings
- Drive adoption of tools and methods across the Finance Project Portfolio
Management/Mentoring/Training:
- Manage Team of Project Managers that lead a sub-set of projects within the finance project management portfolio.
- Collaborate regularly with Project Managers and project teams to enable success and reduce risk
- Mentor and coach project work, foster the understanding and use of Project Management Playbooks and tools necessary for successful and timely completion of projects
- Actively support Project Managers in their career development
- Participate in the Project Management Community of Practice to expand the understanding and implementation of FPPM across Finance
Desired skills:
- Demonstrates an understanding of the McKesson business including financial and business processes
- Able to bring structure to complex problems/transitions; demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and facilitate through to practical solutions. Needs to be able to work with executives effectively.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and leading multiple projects to successful completion
- Critical thinking with the ability to evaluate project metrics and make recommendations
- Expert level communication skills with the ability to target messages by stakeholder group and job level
- Knowledge of technologies used in Finance organizations is a plus
Degree, certification, and experience
- Degree or equivalent experience, typically requires 8+ years of professional experience and 2+ years of management experience.
- Certified Project Management Professional is a plus, with a strong working knowledge of Project Management tools and methodologies
- Work is performed mostly remotely, with timely on-site presence to the hub or location for collaborative engagement
- May require travel outside your hub or location

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$105,200 - $175,300
