Position Summary:
The Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory (CNLM) is the first research institute in the world dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the fundamental brain mechanisms of learning and memory. It is credited with numerous seminal discoveries about how memory works and is recognized as a global leader in the area. Led by Director Michael Yassa, the CNLM is home to more than 120 faculty scientists at UCI and beyond. The Center has also developed a number of successful training programs for neuroscience education at all levels and is deeply committed to enhancing diversity and inclusion in academia.
Under general supervision from the Director of the Center for Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, the incumbent provides assistance in the areas of finance, purchasing, travel processing, payroll, TRS DTA, human resources (staff and academic), communications, and coordinate scheduling and billing for core facilities.

$27.34 - $39.18 (Hourly Rate)
Required:
1-3 years of applicable experience working for an organization or in an academic environment.
Bachelor's degree in related area and /or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and diplomatically with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Experience analyzing and organizing complex information and the proven ability to produce clear, comprehensive and complete reports based on that analysis. Skills in service orientation, organization, active listening, and critical thinking.
