Position Summary
This position provides high-level financial management and support to senior leadership via project management in the financial, operational, and academic areas of the assigned School. Projects may be high profile and require accuracy, scrutiny, confidentiality, and tight deadlines. Works with management in support of the overall strategy.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manages overall communications, data collection and submission of various reporting mechanisms governing accreditation including the full site evaluation with site visit and self-study every tenyears. Prepares and enters faculty profile data and fiscal section data.
Manages assigned area's operating budget and develops/provides financial management reporting. Monitors performance against budget, develops/ prepares monthly budget reports. Plans the use of income from endowment funds and gift funds. Approves HR/Payroll transactions; reviews pay sheets to ensure proper payment and sourcing of all faculty, staff and students; approves Payroll Cost Transfers to correct payroll transaction errors.
Works closely with the schoolâ™s departments in developing annual budget projections/projection models and three-year budget forecasts. Develops and manages revenue models; forecasts financial activity based on known patterns and strategic objectives. Defines funds for new program initiatives, assures departments and programs fully understand strategic objectives, funding specifications and restrictions. Implements new budget programs as approved by senior administration.
Monitors various revenue streams and receivables and proactively addresses financial concerns based on performance. Revenue streams include, but are not limited to: All student tuition accounts. Joint programs. Endowments, alumni gifts and scholarship gifts.
Works with CFU Financial Services team to conduct year-end closing, process closing entries and transactions, prepare quarterly reporting and variance analysis and explanations for year-to-year and actual-to-budget comparisons; meets with department leadership to discuss and devise strategies to address potential problems.
Manages financial performance, operations and accounts receivable; develops processes to support business activity. Reconciles tuition and remission.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant, Master of Business Administration, or equivalent a plus.
Accounting/finance experience in a complex university environment.
Experience in report writing, Cognos, Workday enterprise systems, HR system.
Database experience.
Organized and have strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
Ability to lead and build relationships/credibility/consensus to achieve goals and maintain appropriate confidentiality - a true team player.
Ability to meet deadlines with varying degrees of pressure.
High degree of initiative; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related field and five years of professional experience in accounting/budget/finance or MBA or MS in Finance or related field and three years of professional experience. in accounting/budget/finance.

Salary Range
$64,700.00 - $110,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
