The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using electronic health data. The incumbent will work on a multidisciplinary team of developers within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department and will collaborate with other institutions across the University of California Health. The incumbent will use UCI Health software such as Crystal Reports, SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Radar, etc. to deliver high quality reports and analytic solutions. The incumbent will work as part of multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain ongoing extracts to external reporting agencies. The focus of this position is on clinical, operational, and finance data - specifically data related to population health, manage care, and value base care. This includes quality metrics, regulatory requirements, and general clinical/operational/finance reporting. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced data / information management professional with full understanding of industry practices and department methodologies, policies and procedures to resolve complex and wide ranging issues.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
2+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases
2+ years of experience with SQL
2+ years of experience with MS SQL server or Oracle as well as reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, PowerBI, etc
Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs
Strong problem-solving abilities
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of healthcare analytics experience
3+ years of experience working with EPIC EHR
3+ years of experience with SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI,Tableau
3+ years of experience with EPIC Cogito based reporting
Knowledge of patient quality and safety reporting programs (Core Measures, eCQM, HIQR, etc)
Experience working with population health, value-base care, or a management services organization (MSO)
Experience working with EPIC Healthy Planet or Compass Rose
Familiar with standardized medical coding terminologies (SNOMED, ICD, CPT, LONIC, RxNorm)
Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
