Position Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using electronic health data. The incumbent will work on a multidisciplinary team of developers within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department and will collaborate with other institutions across the University of California Health. The incumbent will use UCI Health software such as MS PowerBI, Tableau, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Radar,and the enterprise data warehouse to deliver high quality reports and analytic solutions. This includes quality metrics, regulatory requirements, and general clinical/operational reporting.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
3+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases
3+ years of experience with SQL
3+ years of experience with MS SQL server or Oracle as well as reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, etc
Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in healthcare analytics experience
Previous experience working with EPIC EHR
Previous experience with SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI and Tableau
Previous experience with quality metric reporting
Previous experience working with healthcare quality metrics
Experience utilizing Lean concepts including visibility walls, problem solving A3's, and Gemba rounding principles
Experience using Collibra or similar Data Governance platform
Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation within a centralized code repository
Experience in software development life cycle
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
