Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst assists the Department of Otolaryngology/HNS in the management, review, control and reporting of operational, gift and research accounts. The analyst will apply organizational policies and procedures to resolve a variety of moderately complicated issues. Works on financial services problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. The incumbent is responsible for policy analysis and interpretation, and problem solving Coordinates and monitors operations of assigned functional area(s) including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, recharge billing, travel/entertainment, facilities, and equipment. Effectively addresses difficult and complex customer inquiries. Prepares reports and analyzes to include summaries of financial transactions, and impacts

Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Working knowledge of KFS Working knowledge of UCI Accounting Policies and Practices
Preferred:
Familiarity with UCI Academic Personnel procedures Familiarity with UCI Staff payroll personnel procedures
