About the Role:
Job Summary
High-level, experienced architect position responsible for design support, implementation, repair, and maintenance of Network wired, wireless, and security infrastructure/applications, including: routing, switching, IPS/IDS, firewalls, B2B VPN, remote access VPN, network access control, application delivery, WAF, RF management, BLE, RTLS location services, advanced data center overlay technologies, cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), WAN/SDWAN technologies (including satellite, cellular, and broadband), UPS technologies, and DDI. This position must be able to demonstrate each of the job specific skills and abilities listed.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree. Four (4) year degree in Computer Science, MIS or other computer-related field or equivalent experience in similar IT environments. In lieu of Bachelors degree (11) years of experience in similar environments will be considered.
Minimum Experience: Seven(7)+ years experience supporting critical IT network infrastructure in a highly available 24x7 environment.

Extensive experience troubleshooting Networking infrastructure and components, IT systems, and cloud environments
Demonstrated desire to pursue continual education and ability to learn and adopt new technologies
Experience in helping people communicate through managing, designing and implementing enterprise scale network and network security environments with a focus on Juniper/Mist, SDWAN, and hybrid multi-cloud environment routing and switching, as well as Palo Alto, Forescout, and F5 security tools.
Passion and demonstrated experience in identifying innovative approaches to using new or existing technologies to meet current and future business needs
Extensive experience mentoring and providing high-level technical guidance to junior engineers, peers, and leadership
Extensive experience with designing and managing complex routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MST, MSDP), L2/3 overlays (EVPN, VXLAN, ACI, OTV), network access control, hybrid multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), SDWAN , B2B and remote access VPNs, RTLS technologies (BLE, UWB), and disaster recovery environments
Ability to clearly detail network communication flow across broad global networks as well as read and detail network packet captures (PCAP)
Ability to design and develop integrations with various other IT systems (through API or specific integrations)
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Technical escalation and always on-call resource for all levels and positions of the Network Services team
Leads advanced complex problem solving within technical IT teams
Develops and designs standards related to technical documentation for infrastructure solutions
Defines standards for technical network engineering policies and procedures
Ensure the security of the system by driving and developing standards and policies across all applicable technology towers
Develops Network Services infrastructure capacity and performance SLAs to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of its systems and applications
Provide department guidance on new Network Services infrastructure and application projects
Collaborates with Enterprise Architects to define standards and technology adoption for Network Services team
Collaborates with Management to manage and define Network Services financial planning, budgeting, and billing (including service provider accounts)
And all other duties as assigned by the Unified Communications Manager and/or the IT Network & Telecommunications Supervisor
