The Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development (GUCCHD) is dedicated to fostering a stronger society by promoting the wellbeing of ALL children, adults and families and creating more inclusive communities. We execute this mission through research, training & technical assistance, scholarship and thought leadership. In partnership with the School of Continuing Studies (SCS), the GUCCHD has launched a series of three Certificate programs centered on Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health providing professional development and continuing education for Clinicians, Mental Health Consultants and Family Leaders.
Job Overview
The Program Coordinator for Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Certificate Programs provides programmatic and administrative support to the faculty and staff teaching in the programs. In a role with a high-level impact to the reputation of Georgetown University, their responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide instrumental liaising with GUCCHD leadership, SCS leadership, Program Directors, faculty, guest lecturers and students
Ensure smooth operations for the concurrent programs by serving as the first point of contact for students and assisting students with program applications and enrollment
Administratively support the team - for example, assisting with PowerPoint and training material preparation, scheduling, and interfacing with students; and supporting reporting requirements, and technical matters associated with multimedia instruction and literature searches
Assist with collection and organization of class materials, including interfacing with faculty and guest lecturers
Work with students to answer questions and provide support around classwork and class interface
Interface with project faculty and staff at GUCCHD and Georgetown University- MedStar, as well as our partner organizations
Work Interactions
The Program Coordinator represents the work of the GUCCHD and Georgetown University through their interactions with faculty, staff, guest lecturers and students.
They interact with project faculty and staff of the GUCCHD, School of Continuing Studies, Georgetown-MedStar and partner organizations; and work with various teams and administrative supports of the GUCCHD.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3 years of progressive administrative experience in an academic setting - preference for that experience in student-facing role
Proficiency with office, presentation and project management software and social media - e.g., MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe, Zoom, Canvas, Smartsheets, etc.)
Strong written and oral communication and research skills
Experience with organizing events or meetings
Ability to multi-task and good organizational skills
Possession of basic mathematical skills
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a variety of individuals

Salary Range
The expected pay range for this position is $47,586 - $87,558 per year.
Georgetown University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity and external market pay for comparable jobs.
