ABOUT THE POSITION
The Claremont Colleges Services seeks two IT professionals with some experience in system conversions for Programmer-Analyst positions for the Student Information System implementation project. This appointment is expected to last two to three years with benefits and the possibility of extension.
The Programmer-Analyst contributes technical expertise to the Student Information System implementation project, an initiative of the five undergraduate institutions of The Claremont Colleges (5C). This position collaborates with 5C functional offices (student accounts, registrar, admission, financial aid, institutional research, information technology, etc.) and the dedicated SIS Implementation project team at The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) to achieve a successful, on-time implementation of the SIS, Anthology Student. This role provides technical support for one of two 5C implementation groups:
Student Accounts Offices (including financial-aid and finance-related system features), or
The following are the fundamental duties and responsibilities of this position which the incumbent must be able to perform to fulfill the purpose and requirements of this position.
Data Analysis and Validation: Assist data conversion experts and functional teams to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and data quality issues that may arise during the data conversion, mapping, and validation processes. Collaborate with end-users on manual data validation efforts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of converted data in Anthology Student. Create documentation, as needed.
Technical Development: Using SQL (Structured Query Language), scripting languages, and integration tools, assist reporting and integration experts with defining and developing data sources, reports, and applications required to implement Anthology Student.
Expertise: Cultivate deep technical and operational understanding of Anthology Student to support end-user needs, provide training, and support a smooth transition to the new SIS.
Facilitate Business Process Improvements: Assist functional users with aligning and adapting business processes to Anthology’s recommended best practices.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve systematic errors prior to functional user testing.
Data Security: Adhere to strict privacy and security standards to maintain confidentiality and data integrity throughout the implementation process.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for an appointment expected to last 2 to 3 years for the SIS implementation. May be required to work holiday, weekend, and/or evening hours. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or business unit. This position is eligible for a partial remote work schedule as approved by the supervisor with regular onsite presence in Claremont, CA required.
COMPENSATION
Pay: The pay range for this position is $45.00 to $53.85 per hour.

Education/Training: You have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a similar field; OR the equivalent through a combination of education, training and additional experience beyond the minimum required.
Experience: You have at least three (3) years of previous experience with complex enterprise-level systems conversion projects including experience coordinating between technical and functional teams, and documenting business and system requirements, processes, workflows, and testing outcomes.
Competencies:
Proficient knowledge of SQL.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, etc.).
Some working knowledge of Azure and Microsoft Office tools.
