Job Description:
At EnerBank, the Data Governance Analyst is responsible for assisting in the implementation of procedures and processes around data governance and data quality, ensuring best practices are in place for administering the management of data.
EnerBank USA, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and other organizations (with networks of home improvement contractors) to develop customized white-label loan programs to help them increase their sales as well as attract and retain top dealers.
Primary Responsibilities
Creates business processes and procedures around the implementation of best practices as it relates to data governance
Defines the data dictionary and business glossary for the variety of data points used in reporting, ensuring proper sign off from business groups
Creates and maintains set of data quality rules against Data Warehouse and other reporting databases
Works on functional requirements and creates BRDs for the reporting team, including technical definitions and underlying logic
Collaborates with the Dev Ops teams to solicit pertinent information as it relates to new data points and combined for the reporting team
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Two (2) years of data governance or related experience
Skills and Competencies
Ability to work with various databases and learn additional systems as needed
Good time management and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
In-depth understanding of databases and data structures
Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Excellent analytical and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Master's degree in data analytics or similar is preferred.
Proven proficiency in SQL as well as working with RDBMS and OLTP databases.
Create and manage data dictionary for OLTP databases and systems.
Regular upkeep of Trillium, the data quality software used at EnerBank.
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
