Responsible for managing Department of Radiology fiscal-related matters including budgeting, financial analysis, procurement, payroll, gift and restricted activity as well as professional fee activity. Provides long and short-range financial planning and analysis in complex funding environments: establishes and maintains complex financial control and reporting systems. Under the general direction of the Finance Manager, , incumbent is responsible for the operational budget control, financial management and faculty salary compensation.

Three (3) to five (5) years with a BA/BS Finance and/or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments. Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports. Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to function as a member of a team.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Strong computer skills using MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and good business practices Required
Demonstrated organization skills and ability to prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload and competing deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently and carry out assigned tasks reliably with minimal direction.
Demonstrated skills to independently analyze situations, interpret data, define problems and/or objectives, identify relevant factors, and formulate logical conclusions and recommendations. Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the campus community. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate in a professional manner in all circumstances
Demonstrated skill in handling detailed transactions throughout tedious review and approval process.
Proficiency in English in order to read, understand and interpret complex documents, including detained information on University accounting policies and practices, and contract and grant administrative regulations.
Excellent writing skills and skill in modifying and/or adapting materials and information to create understandable technical information.
Proficiency in computerized information systems to gather award, personnel and expenditure data from UCI online sources.
Demonstrated experience in working as a member of a team, being willing to offer services and to request assistance under appropriate circumstances
Demonstrated ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Demonstrated experience with UC fund accounting management, purchasing, and equipment management policies, procedures and practices.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of UCI Kuali Financial Systems, Decision Support, Tableau desired
Knowledge of University accounting principles and cost accounting standards.
Previous UC system experience.
Familiarity with UCI on-line financial systems including General Ledger, Employee Database, and UCPath.
Previous experience with processing financial journals and fund transfers.
Working knowledge of faculty salary compensation processes.
