Job Description Summary
Cushman & Wakefieldâ™s Equity, Debt, and Structured Finance group (âœC&W EDSFâ) is a premier capital markets team providing solutions for complex transactions on behalf of institutional, corporate, and private investment clients offering a range of debt advisory services including construction, bridge and permanent financing throughout the capital stack including first mortgages, B-notes, mezzanine financings and preferred equity.
The Capital Markets Financial Analyst (âœCMFAâ) Pool Manager is a CMFA subject matter expert responsible for the day-to-day management of the CMFA Poolâ™s delivery of financial analysis on behalf of Cushman & Wakefieldâ™s Equity, Debt, and Structured Finance (âœEDSFâ) brokerage services. In this role, the CMFA EDSF Pool Manager provides oversight on the execution of EDSF financial analysis requests by providing direction, conducting quality control reviews, and lending subject matter expertise to a team of financial analysts. The CMFA Manager provides oversight on team member development and performance, ensuring alignment on service delivery expectations. The CMFA Pool Manager serves as a key contributor to the CMFA Poolâ™s maturity with involvement in training and onboarding activities, implementing standardized workflow processes, implementing best practices, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities to ensure sustained delivery of high-quality, efficient services to C&W EDSF brokers.
Team members may be expected to work various time zones, depending on the product type and markets they service. Remote candidates will be considered should they agree to work during the specified working hours.
Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to C&W EDSF brokers based on analysis findings; refine analyses by providing subject matter expertise on the market, property, or commercial real estate conditions and trends in effort to equip brokers with value-add insights and high-quality analysis deliverables, contributing to driving successful transaction completion Â
Collaborate with broker and leadership stakeholders, and other support teams, to ensure the Financial Analyst Pool delivers an exceptional broker experience, balances team member workloads, and effectively collaborates with all business partners in service delivery, ensuring satisfactory broker experience ratingsÂ
Monitors, tracks, and observes process and production behaviors, identifying opportunities where additional training support may be required and/or delivers insights/solutions to resolve productivity issuesâ¯â¯Â
Implements effective delegation best practices, balancing involvement into the transactional analysis and due diligence aspects of team assignmentsÂ
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CMFA Pool including supervision of direct reports and quality review of analyses, deadlines, and resolution of issues/conflicts Â
Performs quality control reviews, identifying where the teamâ™s strengths are and areas where additional training may be required. Communicates review feedback in a timely manner and identifies recurring themes observed to action into individual and/or team training and development opportunities.â¯Â
Monitor CMFA Pool and Analyst performance to identify opportunities for process/deliverable improvement and continued development Â
Lead, coach, train, and develop financial analysts on best practices developing investment memoranda, identifying and articulating transactional strengths and mitigates to risks, analyzing complex legal real estate related documentation including tenant leases, term sheets, loan agreements, mortgage documents, partnership agreements, and financial statements, and interacting with lenders and investors throughout the marketing and due diligence process  Â
Develop and deliver EDSF Analyst training materials to standardize onboarding and support continued development, equipping Analysts with relevant resource tools Â
Partner with EDSF brokers and key stakeholders to develop and implement an EDSF Analyst training programÂ
Spearhead the creation of standardized, best practice workflow processes and guidelines across the Financial Analyst Pool that create efficiencies and add value to the EDSF broker experience; collaborate with EDSF brokers to understand current state processes and opportunities for standardization, taking ownership to action next steps Â
Collaborate with technology partners to identify, implement, and maintain automation/data analysis solutions to support CMFA Pool operations (e.g., Salesforce, Argus, UiPath Process Mining)Â
Actively participates in business intelligence reporting and maintenance, ensuring workflow pipeline is accurate, complete, and kept current. Ensures reporting data and analytics are accurate and complete.â¯â¯Â
Support business development activities to encourage use of the CMFA Pool across C&W EDSFâ™s product group and key stakeholdersÂ
Champions the adoption of the Financial Analyst Pool, pitching value proposition and benefits to Capital Markets EDSF brokers while identifying opportunities where the Financial Analyst Pool can support. Develops and maintains productive broker relationshipsÂ
Contributes to change management efforts and assist with managing resistance to change associated with changes to process/service deliveryÂ

Other Requirements & Administrative Duties:
Bachelorâ™s Degree (Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, etc.) strongly preferred, Masters, MBA, CPA a plusÂ
Combination of education without a degree and corporate work experience may be consideredÂ
5 â“ 7+ years of equity, debt, and structured finance financial analysis and underwriting modeling experience; Commercial Real Estate strongly preferred  Â
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyÂ
Demonstrates an executive presence with the ability to communicate and interact with EDSF brokers and contribute to driving successful transactions Â
Experience leading teams and contributing to the professional development of financial professionals, including completing performance evaluations and managing team members who may be remote workers or reside in different geographiesÂ
Strong champion of change and process improvement Â
Strong problem resolution, project management, communication, and relationship management skillsÂ
Experience improving processes and procedures to drive standardization and improve efficiency and quality; demonstrated technical savvy to identify areas for automation or technical improvement Â
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentÂ

Prior management oversight with direct reports is a plusÂ
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Â
Argus and/or Excel cash flow modeling experience strongly preferredÂ
Previous debt and/or equity underwriting experience a plus including, but not limited to, debt financings for single assets, portfolios, and institutional-quality asset sale and experience across the capital stack sourcesÂ
Previous Capital Markets and/or EDSF brokerage team experience a plus (broker license is not required for role)Â

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidateâ™s experience and qualifications.
