Police Officer Academy Trainee
Police Officer Academy TraineePrimary Purpose:This is an entry level, non-sworn position in the Police Department. Upon completion of a P.O.S.T. certified background check, incumbents are assigned to or are currently attending a P.O.S.T. Basic Academy and must satisfactorily pass all of the requirements that lead to the possession of the P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate in addition to passing all phases of the background process. An assignment to this classification is temporary and the incumbent is considered 'at-will'.
